General Manager - Restaurant

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Restaurant Manager to oversee the daily operations of our establishment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food service management, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role requires the ability to manage staff, maintain inventory control, and ensure compliance with food safety standards while creating a positive dining experience for our guests. Duties Oversee all restaurant operations, including food preparation, cooking, and service. Manage staff training and development to ensure high performance and adherence to company standards. Implement effective inventory control measures to minimize waste and manage costs. Utilize POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for efficient order processing and cash handling. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of cleanliness in the kitchen and dining areas. Supervise daily shift management, including scheduling staff and managing labor costs. Foster a positive work environment through effective team management and leadership. Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally to enhance guest satisfaction. Collaborate with kitchen management on menu planning, food production, and catering services. Conduct interviews and assist in hiring new staff members as needed. Qualifications Proven experience in restaurant management or a similar role within the food industry. Strong knowledge of food service management principles, including budgeting and financial oversight. Experience in quick service & fast food restaurants as well as fine dining establishments is preferred. Excellent leadership skills with a focus on team management and training & development. Familiarity with food handling practices and safety regulations is essential. Previous experience in supervising kitchen operations and staff is required. Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle challenging situations effectively. Culinary experience or background in hospitality management is an advantage. Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
