Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer with strong expertise in modern C++ development on Windows platforms to join a collaborative engineering team responsible for designing, developing, and supporting enterprise software applications.This role is ideal for a hands-on engineer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, building high-quality software, and contributing throughout the entire software development lifecycle. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to develop scalable, reliable, and secure software solutions.The position requires someone who can take ownership of technical designs, contribute to architectural decisions, mentor other developers, and deliver production-quality code from concept through deployment.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, enhance, and maintain software applications using modern C++ in a Windows environment.Implement new product features and modify existing functionality based on business and technical requirements.Create and maintain technical documentation, design specifications, and development artifacts.Develop, execute, and maintain unit tests and automated test frameworks.Troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve complex software issues.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure delivery of high-quality software solutions.Participate in architecture discussions, design reviews, code reviews, and testing activities.Provide development-level support for software products throughout the development lifecycle.Contribute to release planning and effort estimation activities.Mentor junior engineers and promote software engineering best practices.Work within Agile development teams to deliver features aligned with business objectives.Evaluate third-party technologies and recommend solutions when appropriate.Communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Drive technical issues to resolution while maintaining a strong commitment to quality and reliability.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.5+ years of professional C++ development experience in a Windows environment.Strong experience with Modern C++ (C++11 and newer standards).Strong understanding of object-oriented design and software engineering principles.3+ years of Python development experience.Experience leading technical initiatives or mentoring development teams.Experience creating technical designs and software architecture documentation.Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.Experience with unit testing frameworks such as Google Test, CppUnit, or equivalent.Experience with test automation and behavior-driven development (BDD) methodologies.Knowledge of networking concepts, including TCP/IP and socket programming.Experience working within Agile software development environments.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.Familiarity with development tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar collaboration platforms.Preferred QualificationsExperience with Java and/or .NET development.Cloud-based application development experience.Experience developing high-volume, highly available enterprise applications.Knowledge of secure software development practices, encryption technologies, and compliance-driven environments.Experience working with hardware-integrated software systems.Familiarity with payment processing, transaction-based systems, device integrations, or other real-time distributed applications.Experience developing software requiring high reliability, performance, and scalability.What You'll Be DoingAs a Senior C++ Software Engineer, you will play a key role in the design, development, testing, and support of enterprise applications running on Windows platforms.
