Reimbursement Specialist I (Remote – PST Hours Required)📍 Location: Remote (Must reside in PST time zone)🕒 Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM PT (flexible start between 6 AM – 9 AM PT)About the RoleWe are seeking a detail-oriented Reimbursement Specialist I to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for billing and collections of outstanding balances across commercial, government, and managed care payors.This position requires strong analytical skills, the ability to interpret complex payor contracts, and a proactive approach to resolving reimbursement issues.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform billing and collections for assigned accountsFollow up on unpaid claims with commercial and government payorsInterpret payor contracts and calculate expected reimbursementsIdentify, document, and escalate payor-related issuesSubmit paper claims, appeals, and refund requests as neededMaintain accurate account documentation and updates in systemCommunicate professionally with payors via phone and online portalsRequired QualificationsHigh School Diploma, GED, or equivalentMinimum 2 years of hospital billing and collections experienceHands-on experience with Epic (billing/collections functions)Experience billing commercial payorsProficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and OutlookExperience with paper claims, appeals, and refund processesAbility to work PST hours in a remote environmentPreferred SkillsStrong attention to detail and problem-solving abilitiesExcellent communication and follow-up skillsAbility to work independently and manage workload effectively
