The Baldwin Group takes a holistic and tailored approach to insurance and risk management.Position Summary: Insurance Advisor is the title we use here in our Charlotte Sales and Technology hub. We are licensed insurance agents. Under close supervision, closes targeted number of sales from leads, prospects, and policyholders to achieve auto, property, and specialty sales targets in a sales center environment. As a top 20 insurance broker, you will have access to multiple carriers to provide your prospects with the best coverages at the best pricing. This is a base pay plus commission compensation structure!Principal Responsibilities:Handle inbound calls and make outbound calls to leadsConsult with customers on their insurance needs and match the correct coverages, products, and benefits to convert leads into customersAssess customer's insurance needs and suggest/advise products and coverages based on a need/exposure assessmentConduct need/exposure assessments involves interviewing prospective clients to obtain data about their financial resources and needs, the physical condition of their person or property to be insured, claims history and coverage gapsFinalize the sale, coordinate collection of deposits, arrange for binders and certificates, and brief the service team on the policy saleMaintain a concern for accuracy, timeliness, and completion when interacting with current and prospective clientsMaintain understanding and knowledge of insurance and underwriting criteria for insurance company partners represented by the firm to effectively communicate to all involvedKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Comfortable making calls and talking to people on the phone all dayExcellent verbal and written communication skillsPersuasive and goal-orientedPossesses an energetic, outgoing, and friendly demeanorEager to expand company with new salesSelf-motivated and self-directedAble to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficientlyTenacity to handle rejection and continue on with a positive attitude when reaching next potential clientKnowledge of sales process from initiation to closePrevious experience in outbound call center, inside sales experience, or related sales experience preferred but willing to talk with outgoing peopleStrong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel) and CRM/Salesforce experience preferredWe will take care of all licensing and you will be paid for all studying and taking a 40 hour online course all about property and casualty insurance There is a test at the end of the process to earn your P&C license. This is a base pay ($41,600) plus commission. This is not a remote position. Our address is 7910 Microsoft Way Charlotte, NC 28277. Must be available to work Monday-Friday 8-5 and one Saturday per month 9-1.
