At Jewish Care, we are proud to make a meaningful difference to the lives of Jewish people by delivering outstanding social care services that enhance wellbeing and keep people connected to their community.We are a multi-award-winning organisation, recognised for excellenceAbout The RoleWe are looking for a dynamic and hands-on Café Supervisor to lead our vibrant catering operations across our campus.You will be the face of our hospitality service, overseeing the day-to-day running of the Sugar Ronson Café This is a fast-paced and rewarding role where you will ensure exceptional service delivery to residents, tenants, staff, and external clients within a Jewish environment.Working closely with the Head Chef and Hospitality Business Manager, you will drive quality, innovation, and customer experience across a diverse and busy operation.This post is working 40 hours per week, 8am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday and will include some Sundays for events.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and oversee all café, restaurant, and hospitality services across the campusEnsure compliance with food hygiene, health & safety, and legislative standardsManage budgets, purchasing, and cost control to maximise efficiencyPlan and deliver internal and external events, including quotations and logisticsBuild strong relationships with customers and stakeholders to meet service needsSupervise, motivate, and develop a high-performing teamMaintain excellent customer service standards through visible leadershipManage cash handling and financial procedures in line with policyComplete administrative tasks including records, rotas, and reportingRepresent the service at meetings and contribute to continuous improvementAbout YouWe’re looking for someone who is passionate about hospitality and thrives in a people-focused environment.You Will BringProven experience in catering, hospitality, or a similar leadership roleStrong organisational and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal abilitiesA hands-on leadership style with the ability to motivate teamsSolid understanding of health & safety and food hygiene standardsGood IT skills (Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, PowerPoint)Experience working in a multicultural environmentA flexible approach, including availability for events and weekendsPersonal QualitiesApproachable and engagingOrganised and detail-focusedConfident and outgoing – comfortable being the face of the caféIntuitive with a strong customer-first mindsetWhat We OfferA supportive and inclusive working environmentOpportunities for training and development (including NVQ pathways)The chance to work in a meaningful role making a real differenceSociable working environment within a respected organisationJewish Care is the largest provider of health and social care services for the Jewish community in the UK.
