Cybersecurity Program Director 100% RemoteLead a major, enterprise-wide cybersecurity program launched following a recent security incident and a top-down review of the University’s security and risk posture.Work closely with the CIO, AVP of PMO, IT/Security leadership, Executive Steering Committee, and external security partners.Build and operationalize the detailed cybersecurity strategy and execution plan based on the initial framework and priorities established by University leadership and external advisors.Develop an integrated roadmap covering initiatives, sequencing, dependencies, priorities, milestones, and measurable outcomes.Lead and coordinate a portfolio of interrelated cybersecurity initiatives across technology, processes, governance, and risk.Manage work delivered by internal teams, PMO resources, external cybersecurity firms, legal counsel, and specialized vendors.Provide both program-level oversight and hands-on project leadership, particularly during early-stage planning, discovery, and complex implementation efforts.Drive alignment, prioritization, risk management, issue resolution, and disciplined execution across all security workstreams.Establish clear reporting, metrics, milestones, and executive-level visibility into program progress.Serve as a senior cybersecurity subject matter expert, providing strong technical and strategic guidance where needed.Help scale the program and bring in additional resources as the scope and execution needs evolve.This role reports to the AVP, PMO, with a strong working relationship with the CIO’s leadership team and Executive Steering Committee.
