Job Location: HybridJob Salary: $85k-$110kRequirements: 3+ Years of Public Accounting ExperiencePosition OverviewThe Audit Senior for Affordable Housing will lead audit engagements for clients in the affordable housing sector, focusing on compliance with relevant regulations, including HUD and LIHTC. This role requires strong expertise in affordable housing finance and the ability to mentor junior staff while ensuring high standards of audit quality and client service.Key ResponsibilitiesLead audit engagements for affordable housing clients, ensuring compliance with HUD and LIHTC regulations.Manage and supervise junior audit staff, providing guidance and mentorship throughout the audit process.Prepare and review financial statements and reports in accordance with GAAP and applicable regulatory requirements.Communicate findings to clients and provide recommendations for improvement in financial practices and compliance.Build and maintain strong client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor in affordable housing matters.Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes affecting affordable housing and audit practices.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.CPA certification is required.Minimum of 3 years of audit experience, preferably in the affordable housing sector.Strong knowledge of HUD regulations, LIHTC compliance, and affordable housing finance.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively manage client relationships and mentor team members.Proficient in audit software and Microsoft Office Suite.BenefitsVacation/PTOMedicalDentalVision401kBonusRelocationTelecommute
