If you’re practical, resourceful, enjoy being outdoors, and want to contribute to projects across the Southeast, this role offers a unique and rewarding career path.What You’ll DoAs a Project Engineer, you’ll support a wide range of engineering and environmental services, combining technical analysis with meaningful fieldwork. Responsibilities include:Performing site, civil, and environmental engineering analyses to support project objectives.Conducting field investigations, site reconnaissance, construction observation, and environmental inspections.Supporting stormwater, geotechnical, and wastewater system design, including pumping systems and equalization management.Executing environmental tasks for government and industrial clients as directed by project managers.Analyzing data and project information to help develop effective engineering solutions and project strategies.Gaining early exposure to project management, allowing you to grow quickly in your career.What You BringStrong foundation in engineering, especially civil and environmental engineering principles.Hands-on knowledge of project management and construction processes.Proficiency with AutoCAD and PC-based applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel.Understanding of environmental compliance, remediation, land development, and environmental science.Completion of the EIT/FE Exam and possession of an Engineering degree.Ability to interpret design documents, permit requirements, and construction process flows.Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills.A team-oriented mindset with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.Preferred QualificationsBS or MS in Civil, Environmental, or Construction Engineering.Minimum 2 years of experience in civil, environmental, or construction engineering.Engineering-in-Training (EIT) certification required; PE licensure in NC or SC preferred (or the ability to obtain).Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel periodically.Ownership of work products and a desire to grow within a collaborative engineering team.Why You’ll Love This RoleThis position offers a rare and ideal balance for engineers who crave variety.
