HPE NonStop Support Specialist

Roles & ResponsibilitiesAdminister and support HPE NonStop (Tandem) systems.Perform system configuration, upgrades, patches, and preventive maintenance.Monitor system health, capacity, availability, and performance.Partner with application teams for deployments, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.Implement and maintain backup and recovery strategies.Support disaster recovery (DR), business continuity, and high availability architectures.Implement system security policies, user access controls, and auditing.Analyzes and designs technical solutions to address business needs.Troubleshoots systems to increase quality of systems.Identifies, investigates, and proposes solutions to technical problems.Develops, tests, and modifies software to improve efficiency of internal operating systems.Provides technical support for issues surrounding software/hardware failures and the like.Provides technical expertise where required within Information Technology Projects.Prepares and maintains necessary documentation.Required Technical/Functional Skills7+ years of hands on experience supporting HPE NonStop systems. A combination of education and experience may meet qualifications.Experience with NonStop capacity planning, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.Employs advanced knowledge as a generalist or specialist of programming and systems analysis and related applications.Requires strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.Requires strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with both management and staff employees.Must be able to meet deadlines.Ability to set and maintain high quality work standards.Ability to lead a group.Frequently contributes to the development of new theories and methods.Excellent communication and inter-personal skills
