The Project Accountant will report directly to the Corporate Controller and will perform the duties described in the job description below. Job Description:Develop and maintain detailed project budgetsInvestigate discrepancies between actual costs and budgeted costs, identifying root causes, and recommending corrective actions Prepare and maintain Estimate at Completion (EAC) and cash flow forecastsSupport earned value analysis and margin analysis (where applicable)Track and evaluate financial impact of change ordersOversee project-related invoicing, billing, and revenue recognitionEnsure proper cost coding and financial accuracyReview subcontractor invoices and accrualsReconcile project accounts monthlyEnsure compliance with GAAP/IFRS and company policiesPresent cost forecasts, monthly financial reporting packages, and financial analyses to operating divisions to support decision making Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field5+ years of experience in project accounting and/or cost controlExperience in construction, EPC, manufacturing, or capital projects preferredStrong understanding of revenue recognition and project costingAdvanced Excel skillsERP experience (SAP, Oracle, Viewpoint, etc.) preferredStrong analytical and communication skills
