Maintenance Technician
Role Overview:
The Electro-mechanical technicians will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing automated machinery and computer-controlled mechanical systems in an industrial setting. Electro-mechanical technicians will also test, operate, or maintain robotic equipment.
Areas of Responsibility:
Read blueprints, schematics, and diagrams to determine the method and sequence of assembly of a part, machine, or piece of equipment
Verify dimensions of parts, using precision measuring instruments, to ensure that specifications are met
Perform preventative maintenance and repair on a wide range of pumps, motors, valves, etc.
Troubleshoot, repair and calibrate hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical and robotic systems
Test the performance of electro-mechanical assemblies, using test instruments
Install electronic parts and hardware, using soldering equipment and hand tools
Operate, test, or maintain robotic equipment
Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair mechanical breakdowns
Food Safety Responsibilites:
Perform duties in accordance with Safe Quality Food (SQF) policies and procedures
Qualifications:
Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and other systems.
Ability to read and understand blueprints
Demonstrated experience as a maintenance technician.
Physically capable of lifting 50 pounds.
Strong understanding of general maintenance processes and methods.
Experienced in operating a variety of equipment
Working knowledge of hand tools, meters
Excellent manual dexterity
Analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
Education & Certifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
3+ years of hands-on electrical and mechanical equipment experience in a manufacturing environment
Technical certifications and/or AS in Electronics, preferred
