AXIS Actuary

This is not a a C2C opportunityJob Description:Start ASAP-11/27/2026-Possible Temp to hire if local to Houston Texas. Our client is seeking an experienced Actuary (near or recent FSA) to join their team in League City, TX. In this role, you will support the modeling and testing team by operating actuarial models, analyzing assumptions and methodologies, and evaluating their impact. This position offers broad exposure across life and annuity products as well as various actuarial methods, with regular interaction and reporting to senior management to support strategic decision-making.Responsibilities:Perform and present actuarial analyses for distribution to senior management, internal departments, consultants, reinsurers, and regulators Operate and maintain actuarial models to support business needs Conduct actuarial testing by updating cash flow testing models with new assumptions, methodologies, and data Analyze the impact of assumption and methodology changes on financial results Collaborate cross-functionally to support modeling initiatives and business insights Assist in evaluating product performance, reserves, and surplus drivers Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics, economics, or a related field with strong quantitative background Near or recent FSA designation7+ Years of actuarial Hands-on AXIS ExperienceStrong analytical, problem-solving, and technical skills Effective communication and time management abilities Familiarity with cash flow testing concepts Experience with actuarial modeling software, preferably Moody’s AXIS Strong understanding of life and annuity products, including reserve and surplus drivers Knowledge of assets backing insurance liabilities and modeling approaches for non-traditional assets modeling softwarePay Range:The anticipated pay range for this position is $75-$85 per hour, based on experience We understand that salary is an important factor in a job search, and we encourage you to apply even if you feel that your desired compensation may fall outside of the listed range. The final pay for this position is determined based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant experience, skills and certifications, education and training, geographic location, market conditions, and internal equity.
