For thousands of people in Palm Beach County, who come from all walks of life, Caridad is the only hope they will have for living a healthy life.POSITION SUMMARY:The Development and Communications Manager works closely with the Chief Advancement Officer to assist in all aspects of the annual and planned giving programs, including all individual donors. This role requires assisting in the creation of digital and direct mail campaigns, gift processing, and acknowledgements to donors. This position is also responsible for coordinating events, programs, managing Caridad’s social media pages to promote Caridad’s activities and enhance donor relations, as well as the creation of a monthly electronic newsletter for donors.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:Database Management & StewardshipManages Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge/NXT database to research, analyze, and input individual donors and prospects to develop strategies for gift growth, maintenance, and acquisitions.Collaborates with the Chief Advancement Officer & Senior Development Manager to establish long-term goals and objectives for each contribution category.Manages a portfolio of existing donors and new contacts.Manages stewardship strategies and responsibilities to ensure regular touch points with key donors.Develops, manages, and maintains a timely and relevant gift acknowledgement program.Works closely with managers and the leadership team to establish a clear line of interdepartmental communication in efforts to establish donor and prospect management.Supports in the development and management of various fundraising campaigns and initiatives, including seasonal appeals and reports.Monitors all revenue and expenses related to the annual fund, grants, events, and the major gift society.Leads and assists in agency tours with donor prospects, current supporters, and others.Provides collaborative support, as needed, to the agency’s Grant Writer for the foundation solicitations, as they relate to the annual fundraising goals.Submits weekly gift reports and assists in the monthly reconciliation process with the Finance Department.Attends meetings and trainings as required.Performs other duties as assigned.Events ManagementLead and support all donor-focused events, overseeing event planning, logistics, and execution.Identify, evaluate, and coordinate with vendors; solicit and assess bids; process contracts and payments.Manage event budgets, timelines, and requirements to ensure operational excellence.Align event activities with fundraising and strategic partnership goals, working in close partnership with the Development and leadership teams.Provide support for securing guests, honorees, and sponsorships, leveraging community and donor engagement trends.QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent work experience in relevant fundraising positions required.Experience with Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge/NXT or an equivalent donor management system required.2-3 years of experience in direct fundraising or events management preferred.Ability to demonstrate strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Intermediate knowledge of Google Suite or Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Effective collaboration, communication, and documentation skills.Excellent time-management skills.Must be able to work a flexible work schedule; that may include some nights and Saturdays, as needed.Benefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceFlexible spending accountHealth insurancePaid time offParental leaveVision insurance
