Project Overview Our client is seeking a Cloud Engineer I (contract) to support a critical integration initiative, a transformative deal that nearly doubles the organization’s size.This role will play a key part in migrating Azure applications from the Berry tenant to the new tenant . Due to differences in tenant IDs, application IDs, and user configurations, there is no standardized Microsoft migration path , making this a highly hands-on and technically complex effort. The Primary Objective Is To Rebuild and migrate Azure applications into the environmentReplicate existing permissions and configurationsPartner with the security team to ensure smooth cutover and troubleshoot issues during transitionThis is a high-impact, execution-focused role where the consultant will act as an extension of the internal Cloud team , providing “smart hands” and technical expertise—not project management leadership. Strong internal support will be provided for escalations and complex challenges.There is also a strong possibility of extension and involvement in additional integration projects. Engagement Details Contract Length: 3 months (with potential extension)Employment Type: W2 candidates onlyPotential for future conversion (not guaranteed)Collaborative team environment (many current team members are former consultants) Role Overview The IT Technical Specialist II – Cloud Platform is responsible for the administration, configuration, and support of cloud-based platforms and services. This role partners closely with internal stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable cloud solutions. Key Responsibilities Translate business requirements into technical cloud solutionsIdentify, assess, and communicate risks across cloud platformsSupport Azure and third-party cloud application integrationsAssist in multi-cloud environments (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud)Support PaaS solutions, virtualization, and software-defined infrastructureManage and maintain secure cloud identity solutions (Azure AD, MFA, RBAC, etc.)Provide advanced troubleshooting across hybrid (on-prem + cloud) environmentsCreate and maintain technical documentationImprove efficiency through automation, scripting, and tooling enhancementsCollaborate across teams to deliver reliable and scalable cloud services Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related experience3–5 years of experience in IT and cloud engineering rolesHands-on experience with Azure (required); exposure to AWS/GCP is a plusExperience with automation tools (Terraform, Puppet, Jenkins, Azure DSC, JSON)Strong understanding of DevOps, CI/CD, and Agile methodologiesExperience with ITIL practices and change managementExcellent communication and collaboration skillsProven troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities Technical Expertise Azure Active Directory, Conditional Access, RBAC, MFA, ADFSAzure administration tools (Azure CLI, PowerShell, ARM templates)Cloud security best practices (encryption, least privilege, PIM, auditing)Azure infrastructure (VMs, VNet, VPN, ExpressRoute, Azure Firewall, WAN)Containers & data services (Kubernetes, Docker, Databricks, Event Hubs)Enterprise integrations (SAP, Workday, Concur, DocuSign, etc.)Backup and disaster recovery solutionsMonitoring, billing, and FinOps practicesData visualization tools (e.g., Power BI)IoT solutions (IoT Hub, IoT Central, Digital Twins) What We’re Looking For Fast learner with the ability to adapt to new technologiesHighly detail-oriented and execution-drivenStrong communication and collaboration skillsSelf-starter who can operate effectively within a team Core Competencies High accountability and ownershipContinuous improvement mindsetStrong critical thinkingCustomer-focused approachAbility to work in a global, cross-functional environment Top Skills Cloud EngineeringMicrosoft AzureApplication Migration / Implementation Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Oshkosh, WI. Pay And Benefits The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.
