Registered Nurse - Emergency Department - PRN

The Staff Pad has partnered with Russellville Hospital to find compassionate and skilled Registered Nurses to join their Emergency Department team. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where your clinical expertise and commitment to patient care will make a direct impact on the community.About the RoleAs an Emergency Department RN, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care in collaboration with physicians and the interdisciplinary team. You will serve as an advocate for patients of all ages, respond to emergencies quickly and effectively, and help maintain a safe and efficient ER environment.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform initial patient assessments, obtain histories, and develop individualized care plans.Administer medications and IV therapy per hospital policy.Respond rapidly to medical emergencies and provide critical interventions.Coordinate nursing care and make patient assignments based on acuity and staff competencies.Document patient status, interventions, and responses accurately and thoroughly.Support patients and families with psychosocial and emotional needs.Follow infection control, patient safety, and quality care standards.Provide compassionate care to patients ranging from neonates to geriatrics.QualificationsGraduate of an accredited School of Nursing.Current Alabama RN license or Multi-State compact license.BLS certification required.Must obtain ACLS and PALS within one year of hire.TNCC preferred.Previous ER experience strongly preferred; new graduates welcome to apply.Why Join Russellville Hospital?Work alongside a dedicated and supportive team in a community-focused hospital.Opportunities for professional growth and skill development.Direct impact on patient outcomes in critical care situations.A culture of teamwork, respect, and excellence in patient care.Physical & Work EnvironmentPRN Schedule open to Days or NightsFast-paced emergency department environment.Frequent standing, walking, and patient movement required.Exposure to blood-borne pathogens and other occupational hazards (with protective measures provided).
