If so, we have a Material Handler, 3rd shift position with your name on it! While operating stand-up forklift or pallet jack, deliver high quality cores, correctly marked and sized, to the appropriate machine. Move other material to appropriate areas as needed. Fill in where needed on other jobs. What you will do: Identify the required cores for each machine based on orders and ensure timely delivery to the appropriate machines Accurately cut high-quality cores to the correct size and apply core markings as necessary Safely handle and work with sharp blades Transport materials to designated areas, including jumbos, packing materials, skids, etc. Assist operators with tasks such as changeovers, splicing, removing rolls from spoolers, and other necessary functions. Load cores into machines when needed Maintain core-cutting machinery in good working condition by making necessary adjustments, replacing shaft sleeves, lubricating pads, and coordinating with the blade tender to ensure a supply of ready-to-use blades Conduct essential inventory checks Ability to pull up to 3,000 pounds using a pallet jack Maintain good hearing and correctable vision Follow and provide both written and verbal instructions, and work independently without close supervision Be capable of obtaining and maintaining a forklift license Work effectively in a team environment, be self-motivated, and willing to take on cross-functional tasks Adhere to company safety, environmental, and quality standards Perform other duties as assigned What you will need: High school graduate or equivalent work experience with basic math skills, written and oral communication skills as well as mechanical skills Previous stand-up forklift driving experience preferred Good hearing and correctable vision Ability to stand and walk most of your shift; lift up to 50lbs, and occasionally 85lbs Must be able to work in a group concept environment Attention to detail Knowledge of the metric system (preferred) Must be able to read, write and communicate effectively with others Must be able to work within the framework of 6S, ISO and IATF requirements
