QA/QC Program Engineer V
ApTask Global Workforce (AGW) is seeking a QA/QC Program Engineer V with a technology company. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity with our client located in Oberlin, OH. This is onsite position.Summary:This role focuses on developing, monitoring, and improving quality assurance and control programs for data center construction projects. The ideal candidate will have strong cross-functional coordination skills, technical expertise across multiple disciplines, and hands-on experience with QA/QC processes, documentation, and tools in complex, mission-critical environments.Responsibilities:Develop and monitor quality program metrics to evaluate project performanceAnalyze metrics to understand the root cause of any disconcerting trends and work with applicable parties to correct itemsAssist with the development of on-site partner construction QA and QC teamsAssist with the development of QA/QC processes and standards to enable efficiency and effectiveness and assist with cross-functional communicationsInterface between design, construction, and facility operations as well as general contractor(s)Provide training to personnel regarding awareness and quality procedures and specific responsibilities in the QA/QC processCoordinate quality issues between design, construction and facility operations teamsAudit QA/QC activities of staff and subcontractors to assess conformance with the QA/QC proceduresExamine all submittals (in particular, mechanical, engineering and plumbing (MEP) submittals) for quality assurance and provide comments to ensure all documents are compliantPerform quality engineering reviews of design documentation for compliance with stated requirementsDevelop, review and approve levels one (1) through five (5) related to product and process quality such as construction quality procedures (CQPs) and checklistsRecommend and verify effective implementation of corrective and preventive actions for project non-conformancesReview commissioning agent level four (4) and five (5) commissioning scripts and provide feedbackAssist construction manager in review of turnover documentation package for completeness and accuracyAssist construction manager in review of level three (3), four (4), and five (5) energization, start-up, and commissioning schedulesHelp drive closure to open issues in BIM360 and escalate any outstanding open itemsAttend factory witness tests (FWTs) as required for equipment and systemsProvide an onsite visual inspection and/or observation for construction quality control of equipment and systemsAssist in confirming that Level two (2) and level three (3) testing documentation is properly completed and retainedProvide assistance in reviewing installed labeling, signage and taggingAssist in development of project-specific QA/QC dashboards, equipment tracking matrices, and presentationsAttend required construction meetingsRequirements:5+ years of experience in quality control & quality assurance (QA/QC) programs for data centers or mission-critical construction projectsExperience with Design-Build and Design-Bid-Build construction programsExperience in civil/structural, building envelope, mechanical, electrical, and I&C disciplinesExperience leading QA/QC and Cx programsExperience in contractor, consultant and vendor managementExperience in mission-critical power and cooling infrastructure or other critical systemsPrior experience with construction quality toolsStrong mechanical and electrical QA knowledgeQA/QC commissioning skillsSome experience with vendor managementDesired skills:Self-driven, with the ability to have difficult conversations on any misalignments that may ariseFocus-driven with experience leading and coaching a teamPeople-focused with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with cross-functional partnersPay range: Up to $122.51 per HourOnly candidates available and ready to work directly as ApTask Global Workforce (AGW) employees will be considered for this position.If you have the described qualifications and are interested in this exciting opportunity, please apply!ApTask Global Workforce (AGW)ApTask Global Workforce (AGW) is a certified Minority and Veteran workforce solutions company.
