Position OverviewA Barista will create exceptional coffee and espresso-based beverages while providing friendly and efficient customer service. Attention to detail, knowledge of coffee preparation techniques, and dedication to delivering a delightful coffee experience will be key in building lasting relationships with our valued guests.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesThe following and other duties may be assigned as necessary:Expertly prepare a variety of coffee and espresso-based beverages, including lattes, cappuccinos, and macchiatos, following our coffee shop's recipes and quality standardsGreet guests warmly, take orders accurately, and provide personalized recommendations based on their preferencesTailor coffee beverages to meet customers' special requests, dietary preferences, and desired flavor profilesProcess payments, operate the cash register, and handle cash transactions accurately and efficientlyStay updated on our coffee shop's offerings, including coffee bean origins, brewing methods, and seasonal specials, to engage customers with product informationMaintain a clean and organized coffee station, ensuring equipment and utensils are properly sanitized and ready for usePay attention to beverage presentation, ensuring each drink is aesthetically pleasing and meets our coffee shop's quality standardsSuggest additional menu items, such as pastries or specialty drinks, to enhance the customer experience and increase salesCommunicate effectively with other team members to ensure smooth workflow and provide support during busy periodsTemporary or permanent duties and responsibilities may be added to or modified as deemed necessaryQualification RequirementsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
