The RN supervises Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees while promoting patient and employee safety.\n\nResponsibilities\n\nPerform nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission, forming the basis of an individualized plan of care.\nIdentify teaching needs and goals related to the diagnosis of each patient by collaborating with the patient/family and the interdisciplinary team.\nParticipate in the patient rehabilitation program, providing direct patient care through the nursing process.\nInitiate discharge planning and patient teaching from the day of admission.\nCommunicate pertinent information regarding changes in patient status to ensure continuity of care.\nProvide direction, training, and supervision to ancillary nursing personnel.\nEnsure personal and environmental safety in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.\nMaintain communication with management regarding service needs such as supplies and equipment.\nAssume charge responsibility as requested following orientation.\nEngage in professional growth and development through continuing education and self-study.\n\n\nRequired Experience / Certifications / Licensure\n\nBLS Certification required prior to first shift.\nACLS required prior to first shift (specific to certain locations).\nMinimum of two (2) years of bedside clinical experience required.\n\n\nWhy ARMStaffing?\nAt ARMStaffing, we take care of our employees!
