Test Technician (PCB)
*Summary:*
The Test Technician is responsible for the test, troubleshoot, and repair functions of PCBs, sub-assemblies, and systems in production.
*Primary Duties and Responsibilities:*
* Able to read schematics, diagrams, and assembly work instructions to perform testing an troubleshooting functions with good manual dexterity for precision electro-mechanical assembly
* Strong debug and troubleshooting ability to resolve electrical and mechanical defects
* Performs functional and operational tests, using electronic test equipment such as frequency meter, oscilloscope, and signal generator, or performs destructive tests to determine tensile strength of product or part
* Records data to identify problem trends at testing to production work area teams in order to initiate quality improvements
* May perform upgrades to PCBs, sub-assemblies, and systems (ECO, BIOS, FW)
* Provide failure analysis and maintain reports of root cause compiled in logbooks and reported to management and/or project managers
* Verifies specifications by testing completed assemblies and maintains a system for reporting test defects
* Able to recognize failure and set-up problems on units and determines a need for appropriate verifications — notifies engineers as required
* Provide overall testing support for all levels of production in all builds running through the facility
* Able to work independently without guidance from engineers or production supervisor
*Education/Experience:* AA/AAS degree in a technical field or a minimum of 3 years related technical experience is required. Candidate must possess basic debug and troubleshooting skills related to part identification.
*Language Skills:* Strong communication is a must in order to correspond with customers and relay information regarding testing. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, schematics,blueprints, verbal and written instructions, layouts, or procedure manuals. Be able to communicate in English in verbal and writing. Both skills are required to communicate via email & in meeting with customers.
On daily work, debug reports are sent back & forth constantly to resolve issue. Therefore, English is a must.
*Mathematical Skills:* Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, fundamentals of plane geometry, and trigonometry. Able to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical solutions.
*Reasoning Ability:* Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Candidate must be able to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
*Computer Skills:* Possess knowledge of database software, internet software, inventory software, manufacturing software, order processing systems, project management software, spreadsheet software, and word processing software.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
