Library Aide (22939)

Part-Time Library Assistant Brevard County is an EEO and Veteran's Preference employer. Part-time position available at Beachside/Melbourne Beach Public Library for 20 hours per week. Work schedule is variable and includes evenings and weekends. Performs experienced office and clerical work providing customer service through data entry, processing, and maintenance of fines, fees, files, and records in the Circulation section of the library, and other areas of the library as needed.Requirements: Six (6) months of paid or volunteer experience in general library work; OR six (6) months of clerical or retail work which included strong customer service skills. Special requirements: When usage statistics change, library employees may be assigned to another library. In the event of a hurricane, major storm, natural or man-made disaster that may threaten the area, the employee will be required to perform emergency duties as directed.
