Regional Sales Manager - North Central Distribution

Last date to apply:We are continuously accepting applicationsJob Posting TextAs a Distribution Regional Manager – North Central region for Husqvarna Construction, you manage and generate profitable sales within the relevant channels through the creation and execution of annual strategic sales plans and by maintaining and expanding regional customer base. This position is critical for ensuring our competitive advantage by driving regional sales growth.The territory encompasses North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, and Kentucky. Residency within this territory is mandatory, with a strong preference for candidates based in Chicago, IL.ResponsibilitiesManagement of Department (60%)Structuring of sales territories within region based on existing and potential marketCoordinating business review of direct reportsCoordinating product training for regionConducting performance appraisals and providing regular performance feedback and development opportunities to employeesEnsuring proper training and continual reinforcement on CFS and CRMRecruiting, developing and retaining talentIdentifying needs of field employees and helping to find solutionsMaintaining strong relationships with internal and external customersMaintain at least quarterly ride-alongs with direct reportsBusiness Management (30%)Responsible for maintaining and monitoring budgetResponsible for forecasting product categories within regionResponsible for presenting at quarterly regional business reviewConducting business review meetings with decision makers of identified major customersConducting competitive analysis of market conditions annuallyProviding input for Marketing/Sales promotionsCreate, communicate, and manage sales promotions and spiffs within regionRecommending the addition, deletion or improvement of products and servicesAdministrative (10%)Maintain individual CRM and monitor direct reports CRM usageApproving direct reports’ expense reporting in a timely fashionMonitoring car stock of direct reportsCommunicating with various internal departments as necessaryMonitoring department’s monthly expenses compared to budgetsProviding update and graded KPIs to manager and direct reports quarterlySubmitting personal travel expenses in a timely fashionCOMPETENCIESPosition-specific CompetenciesMaking new contacts and building and developing relationshipsSelf-reliance and self-managementAble to respond quickly and work at faster pace than normal, while getting resultsCritical Functional Skills & KnowledgeSolid market knowledgeWorking knowledge of HCP business processesExpert level in product and application knowledge within relevant categoriesCompetency in full range of product categories to identify leads and create cross selling opportunitiesProficiency in CRM, Excel, Word, and PowerPointSolid Technical AbilitySolid knowledge of CFS (Customer Focused Sales)Solid presentation and communications skills, ability to communicate to all levels within accountsSolid negotiations skillsHighly proficient in Excel, data management, and analyticsEducation & Experience4 years’ experience in Sales requiredBS in Business Admin or other applicable degree preferredExperience working in analytics-based sales organizationsWORKING CONDITIONSOvernight travel 60-75% of the timeWork entirely on the road or from home officeHeavy PC useDaily, weekly, monthly and annual deadlinesWHY JOIN HUSQVARNA?We are one of the world’s oldest startups, passionate about our work, proud of our history and curious about the future.
