As a Direct Support Professional (DSP) in our Day Services program, you will support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities by promoting independence, dignity, personal growth, and community involvement in a safe and supportive environment.This role is ideal for someone who is compassionate, dependable, patient, and enjoys working directly with individuals to help them reach their personal goals while enhancing their overall quality of life.Position Responsibilities:Provide direct care and daily support to individuals participating in Day Services programmingAssist individuals with personal care, hygiene, meals, medication administration, and daily living needs as requiredSupport participants with emotional wellbeing, positive behavioral supports, communication, and social skill developmentCoordinate and lead recreational, educational, vocational, and community-based activities that encourage independence and engagementSafely transport individuals to community outings, appointments, and program activities when neededMonitor and document participant progress, behavioral changes, health concerns, and daily observations while maintaining accurate and confidential recordsMaintain a clean, safe, and organized program environment while following all health, safety, OSHA, and infection control proceduresWork collaboratively with team members, supervisors, families, healthcare providers, and outside agencies to ensure quality care and supportRespond appropriately to emergencies and assist in maintaining the safety and wellbeing of all individuals servedAttend and participate in required trainings, staff meetings, and professional development opportunitiesQualifications & Requirements:High School Diploma or GED requiredValid driver's license with acceptable driving recordAbility to complete required agency trainings, including CPR, First Aid, PMT, and DDS Medication Administration CertificationStrong communication, teamwork, and organizational skillsAbility to lift, transfer, and physically assist individuals as neededExperience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities is preferred but not requiredBasic computer skills, including email and Microsoft Office; Therap experience preferredThis position offers the opportunity to build meaningful relationships, positively impact lives, and be part of a supportive team dedicated to helping individuals thrive both within the program and in the community.Please see full job description attached.
