We invite experienced clinicians to join our esteemed medical team in providing top-tier orthopedic care at Providence Seaside. This locum position offers a unique chance to work in a dynamic environment, balancing clinical excellence with work-life balance, starting June 2026.In this role, you will provide comprehensive orthopedic services, including clinic and operating room coverage, with flexible scheduling options such as half-time or one-week rotations. The position involves working primarily in the OR on Mondays and conducting clinics Tuesday through Thursday, with flexible start and end times. An optional call schedule is available, covering approximately eight days per month, including weekends, with weekday and weekend call hours. Candidates comfortable with bread-and-butter orthopedics are preferred; experience with total joint procedures is a bonus but not required.Required Skills:Valid active Orthopedic Surgery license and OR DEA registrationBoard Certified or Board Eligible within five years of residencyBasic Life Support (BLS) certificationAbility to perform both clinical and surgical orthopedic proceduresFlexibility to adapt to varying work schedules and call dutiesNice to Have Skills:Experience with total joint replacementsAbility to work independently with excellent clinical judgmentStrong communication skills and patient-centered approachPreferred Education and Experience:Completed orthopedic residency with certification eligibilityPrior locum or clinical orthopedic practice experience is advantageousOther Requirements:Credentialing process takes approximately 90 days; prompt application submission is essentialAbility to accommodate flexible scheduling including call coverage if desiredWillingness to adhere to hospital policies and protocolsThis position offers a competitive hourly pay rate of $1.00, with weekly direct deposit payments, comprehensive W-2 benefits, and additional reimbursements for licensure, certification, travel, and other eligible expenses.
