Crew leaders supervise daily operations, conduct safety briefings, and ensure compliance with WEMC standards while mentoring apprentice.Principal DutiesLead power line crew in safe, proper construction and maintenance practices.Trains apprentice lineman in proper methods and procedures for power line work.Responsible for the safe use and maintenance of all tools and equipment required for the job.Maintain crew productivity and meet project timelinesOperate and oversee proper use of bucket trucks, digger derricks, and line equipmentRead and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work ordersSupervises and participates in making emergency repairs during disruption of serviceServes in the on-call rotation and responds to call-back when conditions mandateCommunicate with members/property owners; investigates and troubleshoots power outages and other service abnormalities.Monitor work quality and ensure adherence to construction standardsCoordinates work with dispatch, engineers, inspectors, and other crewsExperience of 10 years necessary. North Carolina CDL license with Trailer Endorsement required.
