Powertrain Electrical Triage Engineer

Job DescriptionWe are currently recruiting an experienced Powertrain Electrical Triage Engineer to join our team supporting our client in the automotive industry. NOTE: Onsite Valid driver's license is required as well as a clean driving record Must be willing and able to travel to the USA, without restrictions, effective on the start date. Ability to work 1st or 2nd shift, possible weekends and holidays RESPONSIBILITIES: Work with various teams to root cause issues on vehicles at all build levels Identify issues and ownership of the issues, and drive issues to resolution Lead powertrain electrical root cause and determination of issues during all pilot phases Lead early powertrain electrical work, prototype builds and root cause analysis REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering from an accredited university 3-5 years of automotive system and component experience Powertrain and Vehicle system knowledge Knowledge and hands-on use of CDA, CAN, CANalizer, Canoe, and other Electrical root cause tools Experience working in a automotive manufacturing environment Self-starter that can work without direct supervision Experience with CANalyzer/CANoe and/or other diagnostic tools and software Good analytical and problem-solving skills Demonstrated proficiency in writing and comprehending software/hardware requirements Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of management Self-starter and motivated to produce results PREFERRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS: Extensive knowledge and hands-on use of INCA, CDA, CAN, CANalizer, Canoe, and other Electrical root cause tools Knowledge of Shanin Red X or other reactive quality tools.
