**SUMMARYThe Journeyman Millwright installs and maintains machinery and equipment using hoists, lift trucks, hand tools, and power tools according to layout plans, blueprints, or other drawing specifications.ESSENTIAL DUTIESReads and interpret blueprints, schematic and detailed repair drawings related to construction equipment and machinery; determining work proceduresDismantle machines using hammers, wrenches, crowbars, and other hand toolsAssembles and installs equipment, such as shafting, conveyors, and tram rails, using hand tools and power toolsConstructs foundation for machines using hand tools and building materials; such as wood, cement, and steelAligns machines and equipment using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, rules, micrometers, and plumb bobsGrind and file machinery parts both on-site and in controlled circumstancesMay repair and lubricate machines and equipmentOperate heavy equipment and machinery in the performance of the essential dutiesWork with and around hazardous materials, as well as at heights and in confined spaces in the performance of these essential dutiesDrive a vehicle to various jobsites throughout working hours a. This position is one in which a lapse of attention could result in injury, illness, or death.
