Night shift-11pm-7am POSITION TITLE: Porter SUMMARY: Complete the tasks needed to maintain the buildings and grounds in a state of good repair, cleanliness and attractive appearance. REPORT TO: The EVS Director/Housekeeping Supervisor ESSENTIAL JOB: Follow the assistance plan in providing services to residents. RESPONSIBITLIES: 1. Ensure proper removal and disposal of trash from common area receptacles. 2. Requisition supplies needed for specific job function. 3. Maintain neat, clean interiors and exteriors of the buildings. 4. Ensure that sidewalks and driveway are swept clean and free from rubbish and debris. 5. Ensure that driveways and walks are plowed in winter, cleared of snow and salted to prevent icing. 6. Ensure safe and proper storage of cleaning supplies, chemicals, tools and equipment. 7. Participate in tasks needed to maintain buildings and grounds. 8. Participate in performance evaluations and disciplinary action required for Environmental Services staff. 9. Report concerns or observations about residents' well-being to Case Manager or Administration. 10. Repair equipment or requisition needed services to repair equipment. 11. Check daily for work requests of staff and residents. 12. Perform handyman tasks for residents. 13. Maintain an accurate ledger of repairs and services provided and submit to the office by the designated date each month. 14. Assist with room setup and cleanup for special events. 15. Inspect buildings and grounds weekly and repair items identified as needing repair; replace light bulbs. 16. Assist with new resident move ins and discharges. 17. Carry out other duties as assigned by supervisor.
