Join our global team to grow your expertise and develop innovative solutions that enable a prosperous and more sustainable society.About The RoleThe Software Development Intern will support the development, enhancement, and maintenance of Sales front end tools, including OED and other internally used Sales applications. This role provides hands on experience working with real business systems that directly support Sales teams, enabling quoting, configuration, data visibility, and workflow efficiency. The intern will collaborate with developers, Sales stakeholders, and business analysts to deliver reliable, user-friendly solutions. This is a 12-month internship starting June 2026 full time during the summer and part-time/flexible during the school year.Essential Functions% OF TIME - Training will be given to accomplish the following:40% - Assist with implementing enhancements, bug fixes, and minor feature updates based on business requirements and user feedback.20% - Collaborate with Sales, Commercial Excellence, and IT stakeholders to understand tool usage and functional needs.20% - Participate in code reviews, testing, and validation of Sales tools to ensure quality and reliability.10% - Help document technical designs, workflows, and user instructions for supported tools.10% - Analyze issues reported by users and assist in troubleshooting and resolution.Secondary ResponsibilitiesAdheres to company and department policies, procedures, and standardsSupports, cooperates with, and participates in company-wide EHS Management System which includes following all safety, health and environmental policies and procedures. Supports and cooperates in company-wide Quality Management effort.Performs other duties as assignedQualificationsCurrently pursuing an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.Basic programming experience in one or more languages (e.g., C#, C++, Java, Python, or similar).Familiarity with web technologies (HTML, CSS, REST APIs) or application development concepts.Understanding of databases and data concepts (SQL, relational data structures).Detail‑oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy.Good written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.What we offer youHands‑on experience in a professional IT environmentExposure to enterprise IT support and operationsPractical experience that supports future IT roles or internshipsSulzer is an equal opportunity employer.
