Forward Deployed Software Engineer- Public HealthRemote: Must reside in Atlanta, Georgia areaReports to: EchoDirect reports: None. Delta's provide performance feedback on other engineers and participate in company peer mentorship program.Travel: 0-10%The RoleAs a Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE), you will contribute directly to the development and delivery of our public health proects capabilities. You will build analytical dashboard features, support CI/CD pipeline tasks, and work within a structured agile environment alongside senior engineers and public health stakeholders. You will operate in two-week sprint cycles, contributing to feature delivery from design through deployment.At our organization, an FDE takes ownership of their work — building reliable features, writing meaningful code, and ensuring each sprint increment is production‐ready.Key ResponsibilitiesBuild and deliver front‐end analytical dashboard views using Foundry's Workshop application layer under guidance from senior engineersSupport CI/CD pipeline configuration tasks, including build scripts, automated tests, and environment promotion workflowsImplement metric definitions and data transformations aligned to the Foundry Ontology to ensure consistent data interpretation across dashboardsProduce clear technical documentation, including configuration notes, runbooks, and sprint artifactsParticipate in sprint planning, daily standups, sprint reviews, and demonstrations for government stakeholdersConduct testing and validation to confirm dashboards function correctly and data aligns with approved definitionsIdentify integration issues, surface blockers early, and collaborate with senior engineers to resolve themSupport defect resolution and incremental enhancements to maintain stable operationsPreferred QualificationsHands‐on experience with Palantir Foundry, including pipelines, Workshop, code repos, and Ontology work3+ years of software engineering experienceExperience with Python, TypeScript, or Java in cloud-based data platformsExperience working in public health, government, defense, or classified environmentsAbility to independently build features, test them, and deliver production‐ready functionalityComfortable working in small, fast‐moving technical teamsMust have a current public trust, or the ability to obtain a public trust.About PVM & BenefitsAt PVM, we mean it when we say we value diversity.
