Water/Wastewater Estimator

Position OverviewThe Water/Wastewater Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for heavy civil infrastructure projects. This role requires strong analytical skills, in-depth knowledge of water and wastewater construction, and the ability to collaborate effectively with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers.Key ResponsibilitiesAnalyze plans, specifications, geotechnical reports, and contract documents for water and wastewater infrastructure projectsPrepare detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for treatment plants, pipelines, pump stations, and related facilitiesSolicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotesDevelop conceptual and hard-bid estimatesIdentify project risks and value engineering opportunitiesParticipate in pre-bid meetings and site visitsMaintain organized bid documentation and estimating databasesSupport project handoff to operations team upon awardQualifications5+ years of estimating experience in water/wastewater or heavy civil constructionStrong knowledge of treatment plant construction, underground utilities, mechanical piping, and concrete structuresProficiency with estimating software (e.g., HCSS HeavyBid, Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or similar)Ability to read and interpret civil, structural, and mechanical drawingsStrong Excel skillsExcellent communication and organizational abilitiesBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)What We OfferCompetitive salary based on experiencePerformance-based bonus opportunitiesComprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance401(k) with company matchPaid time off and holidaysCareer growth opportunities within a rapidly expanding infrastructure market
