Elementary Paraeductor: SLP/General Classroom Support - Waterville Elementary School

Waterville Elementary School is seeking a caring and collaborative paraeducator to work within our joyful community of learners. The ideal candidate will: *Assist in the educational and social development of learners under the direction and guidance of the special educator and classroom teachers.*Assist in supporting learners Individual Education Plans under the direction of the classroom teacher and special educator*Provide support for the individual, small group, and classroom size groups of learners inside and outside the classroom*Work with other professionals, such as speech therapists (monitoring and assisting students accessing virtual SLP services, helping to manage the SLP services schedule, acting as a liaison between the virtual SLP and special educator, setting up the technology required for the virtual SLP services, student support, occupational and physical therapists to support learners. *Assist and partner with classroom teachers to meet the needs of each individual*Use positive supports for learners with emotional or behavioral needsIn Addition, the ideal candidate will: *Participate in all professional learning opportunities as designated*Perform all duties as assigned*Enjoy and collaborate within a learner-centered team environment.LNSU provides a generous compensation and benefit package and is an EOE.*Candidate must have a high school diploma (or equivalent) and either two years of higher education or evidence of passing the ParaPro Assessment.
