Shopify Architect (Part-Time, Remote)We are seeking a highly technical Shopify Architect to support and optimize our growing DTC ecommerce business. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced consumer product environments and has deep experience improving Shopify performance, auditing tech stacks, integrating apps, and supporting international expansion initiatives.This is a part-time remote role requiring strong communication skills, strategic thinking, and hands-on Shopify expertise.ResponsibilitiesLead Shopify architecture and technical optimization initiativesImprove site speed, Core Web Vitals, and overall storefront performanceAudit existing Shopify tech stack and recommend scalable solutionsEvaluate, implement, and manage third-party Shopify app integrationsWork with subscription, upsell, cross-sell, loyalty, reviews, and personalization appsTroubleshoot conflicts between apps, themes, and custom codeSupport international expansion including localization, multi-currency, multi-language, and regional storefront considerationsOptimize site structure and workflows for scalability and conversionCollaborate with marketing, ecommerce, and creative teams on launches and promotionsEnsure clean deployment practices, QA processes, and site stabilityProvide technical recommendations aligned with ecommerce growth goalsRequirements5+ years of Shopify development/architecture experienceStrong background working with DTC ecommerce or consumer product brandsDeep understanding of Shopify ecosystem and app integrationsExperience improving Shopify site speed and performance optimizationStrong knowledge of Shopify themes, Liquid, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and APIsExperience with apps such as Rebuy, Recharge, Loop, Skio, Yotpo, Okendo, Nosto, etc.Experience auditing and optimizing ecommerce tech stacksFamiliarity with international ecommerce expansion strategiesStrong communication and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and proactivelyNice to HaveShopify Plus experienceExperience with CRO and A/B testing toolsFamiliarity with GA4, Lighthouse, GTMetrix, or performance monitoring toolsExperience working with offshore developers and cross-functional teamsThis is a remote, part-time opportunity with flexible hours for a highly technical ecommerce professional who can help scale and optimize a modern Shopify ecosystem.
