You can see some of our favorite projects here.Start your journey with OBE and help us build the future.What You’ll Get to DoThe Product Engineer interprets information, approvals, and drawings and then uses this information to present project requirements and product applications for operations to produce. They will utilize software packages to generate a bill of materials and manufacturing drawings for custom architectural window projects. They will also support manufacturing by trouble shooting project challenges and occasionally visit test labs or job sites to aid in keeping projects on track.Job responsibilities include:Ability to read architectural drawings.Utilize software packages to generate complete and accurate information for a given project. (ie AutoCAD, ERP).Utilize Excel and in-house configuration software to process project information.Research and analyze the sales, estimating, and production requirements of a given order or window seriesResearch and analyze the engineering product standards and requirements of a projectProduce output material at a high level of accuracyCommunicate effectively and efficiently with manufacturing and other departments as needed.Ability to navigate shop floor and trouble shoot engineering issues.Champion safety, culture and process improvementAdherence to all safety policies and proceduresWhat We Are Looking ForHigh school diploma or GED Associate’s degree in a related program is preferredProven proficiency in utilizing Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Powerpoint), with a good working knowledge of Excel.Basic knowledge of computers and preferred programs.
