B2B Outside Sales Representative - Uncapped Commission

Sell a Solution That’s Already 80% Paid ForWe’re hiring 2 B2B Outside Sales Representatives to join Zerodraft Maryland’s commercial lighting division. In this role, you’ll be selling lighting upgrades to small businesses through utility-funded programs (PEPCO & SMECO) where up to 80% of the project cost is covered, and the remaining balance can often be financed interest-free. This creates a straightforward value proposition with quick ROI for the customer, making conversations easier and sales cycles typically shorter than traditional B2B sales roles. It’s a high-activity, in-person sales role with strong earning potential and a team behind you to help you close deals.  What You Can EarnYou’ll have a guaranteed base of $20/hour ($41,600 annually), plus uncapped commission at 6% on every deal you close. Most projects fall in the $10K-$50K+ range, which means commissions scale quickly as you build your pipeline. On-target earnings (OTE) are structured around ramp-up and performance: Year 1 ~ $80K OTEYear 2 ~ $120K OTETop performers: $150K+Experienced, high performing reps: $200K+Commission is paid in two parts – 50% at contract signing and 50% upon customer payment – so you’re rewarded for closing deals and for seeing projects through.  What You’ll DoYou’ll spend your time in the field meeting business owners, starting conversations, and moving opportunities forward. During each visit, you’ll complete a quick lighting audit using a mobile app. This allows our estimating team to turn around proposals quickly so you can re-engage the client and close deals while interest is high.Full training is provided on our sales process, field tools, and lighting assessments—no prior lighting or industry experience required.Prospect and visit local businessesSpeak with owners and decision-makersIdentify opportunities and move deals forwardPresent proposals and close workWhat We’re Looking ForSelf-motivated with an entrepreneurial mindsetPassionate about building relationshipsCommitted to helping local businesses B2B or outside sales experience is a plusWhat You Get90-day ramp-up periodFull support team (you sell, we handle the rest)CRM, leads, and territory providedBenefits: medical, dental, vision + 401(k) match + PTO, Sick time and holidaysZerodraft Maryland LLC is an equal opportunity employer.
