Maintenance Worker (MVO) NA-06.

DutiesPerforms a variety of trades and crafts duties involving maintenance, repair and improvement of facilities and minor repair, inspection and repair of various equipment.Assists in the disassembly, repair, modification, preventative maintenance, installation, removal and assembly of machinery and equipment.Assists higher level personnel with painting, plumbing, electrical, and carpenter work.Assures safety requirements, housekeeping and environmental compliance rules are followed and personal protective equipment is properly used.May drive a truck weighing up to 2.5 ton or flat bed, to assist in accomplishing the duties associated with this job.RequirementsConditions of employmentDirect Deposit and Social Security Card is required.Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.A one-year probationary period may be required.Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.Satisfactory completion of pre-employment background checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2.Incumbent may also be required to complete a Tier 1 background investigation for a Common Access Card for physical access to federally-controlled facilities.In addition, this position may require periodic drug testing.The employee must have and maintain a current driver’s license while in this job.The employee must stand on hard surfaces for extended periods, stoop, bend and work in tiring and uncomfortable positions routinely.Frequently lifts and carries parts and equipment weighing up to 35 pounds without assistance and over 35 pounds with assistance from other workers or weight lifting equipment.Medical Certification/Exam is required.QualificationsResumes must be two pages (or less). FWS employees earn overtime pay for working more than 8 hours in a day or more than 40 hours in a week -- whichever gives the employee more benefit. Regular full-time, regular part-time, and regularly scheduled flexible employees may receive Sunday premium pay for working on Sundays.
