Underground Mining Survey Technician

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Conduct independent as-built surveys of underground mined excavation geometries and other miscellaneous features daily.Utilize surveying equipment and technology to collect data accurately.Collaborate with engineers and mining teams to ensure compliance with project specifications and weekly Mine Plans.Adhere to MSHA regulations and safety standards while performing duties.Maintain accurate records of all surveying activities and findings.Other duties, as assigned.KEY SKILLS:Strong knowledge of MSHA regulations related to site safety.Ability to read and interpret blueprints, maps, and technical drawings.Willingness to progress skills by seeking licensure or other further education in surveying.Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail.Effective communication skills for collaboration with team members.Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite) preferred.Previous experience in the mining industry is advantageous.MUST HAVE:High school diploma or equivalent.Valid Driver's license.Working knowledge of MSHA regulations related to site safety.Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints, maps, and technical drawings.Willingness to progress skills by seeking licensure or other further education in surveying.NICE TO HAVE:Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite) preferred.Previous experience in the mining industry is advantageous
