Logistics Specialist

We are seeking a highly organized, reliable, and detail-oriented Cleared Logistics Specialist to support our operations in a secure environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing logistics activities and ensuring compliance with government and organizational security protocols.Responsibilities:Receive incoming shipments and verify their contents.Inspect goods for damage and report discrepancies.Accurately record and document received items.Assist in unloading and loading delivery trucks.Sort received items based on their destination within the Warehouse.Properly store received items in designated locations, ensuring efficient space utilization.Collaborate with team members to relocate items as needed.Retrieve items from the Warehouse based on shipping requirements.Safely operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, to move items.Verify documentation for accuracy before packaging and labeling them for shipment.Prepare shipments for dispatch, ensuring they are securely loaded for transport.Generate shipping labels and required documentation, such as packing slips and bills of lading.Coordinate with carriers and other Microsoft sites to schedule pickups and deliveries.Keep detailed records of outbound shipments and track their status.Assist Microsoft teams with monitoring inventory levels and update records as needed to maintain accurate stock information.Assist with cycle counts and physical inventory to reconcile discrepancies.Work with team leads to optimize inventory control processes and reduce overstock or stockouts.Communicate effectively to local management when stock runs low.Transport equipment, materials, and products between various locations within the Region using Microsoft-provided and maintained vehicles.Ensure the safe and secure loading and unloading of equipment, materials and products.Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and safety standards during transportation.Maintain the cleanliness and operational condition of the Microsoft-provided and maintained vehicles.Comply with all applicable laws and Microsoft policies associated with the Services, including but not limited to those for lawful and proper handling and storage procedures for hazardous materials, if applicable.Comply with all applicable laws, including, without limitation, the Department of Transportation regulations for vehicle operation.Collaborate with team members to coordinate daily tasks and prioritize workload.Communicate any issues, discrepancies, or potential improvements to Microsoft-designated personnel.High school diploma or equivalent; additional relevant logistics certifications or training is a plus.Proven experience in the logistics field or in a related logistics role.In-depth knowledge of the logistics processes and procedures, and technologies.Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise logistics procedures.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with personnel, visitors, and clients professionally.Ability to work independently, make decisions under pressure, and prioritize tasks effectively.Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.Strong ethics, integrity, and commitment to maintaining a secure and confidential environment.
