You will oversee the rehabilitation of complex rowhomes, including properties that may be partially collapsed, while helping build the systems and team capacity needed to increase our long-term impact. This is a unique opportunity for someone coming from a larger firm who wants their experience and ideas to help shape a mission-driven organization from the ground up.Key ResponsibilitiesLead construction operations across multiple residential rowhome rehabilitation projects throughout West BaltimoreManage, mentor, and grow a diverse construction team while fostering a collaborative cultureOversee site visits, scheduling, budgeting, and quality controlEnsure compliance with Baltimore City permitting requirements and local building regulationsGuide estimating processes, including site photo reviews and cost assessmentsPartner with leadership to scale Parity's construction operations toward a goal of 200 homes annuallyUphold and model Parity's values of warmth, collaboration, equity, and craftsmanship in daily workOversee general contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure accountability, quality, and adherence to schedules and budgetsManage procurement, material ordering, and tracking while navigating supply chain issues and maintaining supplier relationshipsCoordinate with architects, engineers, city inspectors, and utility providers such as BGE and DPW to support efficient project executionConduct regular site walks, including bid walks, preconstruction visits, progress inspections, punch list walks, and closeout reviewsDevelop, refine, and implement construction processes and systems to improve efficiency and support scaleIdentify and carry out value engineering opportunities to reduce costs while protecting design and construction qualityEnsure safety protocols and OSHA standards are followed by conducting safety and quality inspections throughout projectsTrack and report on schedules, budgets, construction metrics, and stakeholder communicationsRespond proactively to delays, emergencies, and construction-related issuesBuild and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and partners while expanding Parity's contractor networkSupport administrative functions including contracts, change orders, waivers, retainage, draw releases, and insurance complianceMaintain strong knowledge of Baltimore building codes, zoning, and permitting requirementsStay current on labor costs, construction materials, and green building practices to support planning and executionQualificationsMinimum of 5 to 7 years of construction management experience, preferably involving historic or distressed rowhome renovationsProven ability to manage people, subcontractors, and trade partners effectivelyStrong operational mindset with experience scaling construction operationsExperience with Buildertrend software preferred, with training availableEstimating experience strongly preferredExcellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle conflict constructivelyValid driver's license and ability to travel to worksites in Baltimore, with reasonable accommodations consideredFinal candidates must complete a background check consistent with Maryland lawMust live within one hour of Baltimore, MDCompensation & BenefitsFull-time positionCompetitive salary in the range of $100,000 to $150,000, depending on experienceHealth benefits packagePaid time off and holidaysOpportunities for professional growth and leadership within a fast-scaling nonprofit builderThe opportunity to do mission-driven work that revitalizes communities and helps build generational wealth for residentsEqual Opportunity EmploymentParity Homes is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
