Surgery - General Physician

Job Opportunity: Locum Physician - General Surgery Join a dedicated team at a supportive community hospital in Brattleboro, Vermont! This facility offers comprehensive inpatient and outpatient surgical services, ensuring high-quality care in a collaborative environment. The general surgical team is seeking a full-time Board Certified or Board Eligible MD/DO to contribute to their mission of providing excellent surgical care to the community. Job Responsibilities: Perform general surgical procedures including laparoscopic surgeries, cholecystectomy, and hernioplasty. Provide wound care management and emergency surgical services. Work collaboratively within a team of surgeons and medical staff. Participate in on-call rotations (1:4 ratio). Maintain accurate medical records and documentation using Cerner EMR. Engage with a diverse patient demographic including adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. Qualifications: Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Surgery. Completion of a General Surgery Residency Program. MD or DO Degree from an accredited medical school. Active Vermont Medical License. DEA certification (must be obtained prior to start). Current BLS certification for Healthcare Providers. Proficient in surgical techniques and procedures. Clean malpractice history. Most recent NPDB Self Query Report (within 30 days active).
