We take extra steps to learn about their preferences enabling us to tailor their care experience.Harrington Hospital in Southbridge is in search of a Gynecologist.We are looking for a physician who embodies the mission and values of Harrington Hospital.Join our team of exceptional and talented gynecologists who offers complete gynecologic care, including prevention and wellness exams that catch the early signs of certain cancers and other chronic issues. If our patients are experiencing symptoms of a reproductive health concern, we perform thorough evaluations to pinpoint the cause. Our focus is to help many patients achieve excellent results with standard therapies.Major Responsibilities:Provides services commensurate with the specialty of the physician including new patient visits, follow up visits, urgent visits, and annual visits.Provides counseling and teaching, related to the management and prevention of disease, for patients and family members.Provides comprehensive care as needed including, complete history and physical examination, review of the available medical record, ordering of appropriate laboratory, imaging and other diagnostic testing to formulate diagnoses and treatment plan.Collaborates and communicates with consultants.Serves as a resource for the training and orientation of new colleagues.Manages in-basket tasks to provide safe, effective, and timely care for the patient and communicate effectively with staff and provider colleagues.Promptly completes all outstanding medical records as required by the needs of department and UMMMG.Provides on call services commensurate with needs of the ambulatory practice.Provides ER call services and inpatient call services if required by any hospital delineation of privileges.Actively maintains all required credentials, including state licensure and board certifications.Demonstrates a commitment to on-going quality improvement; complies with institutional and departmental policies and procedures; complies with health and safety regulations; performs other similar and related duties as required and directed.This role may involve supervision and or training of advanced practice providers (APPs).Standard Staffing Level ResponsibilitiesComplies with policies, procedures and objectives.Attends variety of meetings, conferences, seminars as required or directed.Demonstrates use of Quality Improvement in daily operations.Complies with all health and safety regulations and requirements.Respects diverse views and approaches, demonstrates Standards of Respect, and contributes to creating and maintaining an environment of professionalism, tolerance, civility and acceptance toward all employees, patients and visitors.Maintains, regular, reliable, and predictable attendance.Performs other similar and related duties as required or directed.All responsibilities are essential job functions.Position Qualifications:License/Certification/Education:Required:Doctoral Degree, MD or DO.Current Massachusetts State License, Massachusetts Controlled Substances Registration and federal DEA Controlled Substance Registration.Board eligible or board certified in the appropriate specialty or specialties.UMass Memorial has experts specializing in Breast Cancer, Gynecologic Cancer, Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility, Urogynecology for pelvic floor disorders and women's mental healthCentrally located in Massachusetts, UMass is the premier health care system in the region, noted for our academic excellence and leading cutting-edge research.Many of our physicians are both clinicians of UMass Memorial Health and faculty of UMass Chan Medical School.
