Job DescriptionQualifications:Must have or be eligible for Virginia licensure.Must have or be eligible for reading endorsement (masters in reading or masters in another teaching area plus reading endorsement).Dual endorsement in English as a Second Language and/or Special Education, or in any other content area, is preferred but not required.Experience:Teaching experience in the above mentioned areaKnowledge of best instructional practicesAbility to integrate technologyExperience in educational and instructional leadershipResponsibilities:Implements instructional programs that meet the needs, interests and abilities of students using appropriate instructional materialsMaintains safe and orderly environmentCommunicates with parents/guardiansMaintains complete and accurate student recordsCollaborates with school administrators, other teachers, instructional assistants, parents, and community membersMonitors and assesses student achievementAttends ongoing professional learning and meetingsSalary:Salary based on the 2026-27 salary scheduleTo expedite the hiring process, please upload a copy of your teacher license, college transcripts and appropriate test scores to your application which will then be screened to determine your eligibility for employment with Arlington Public Schools.
