About us Benola’s Pub & Patio is a small but growing bar and restaurant in Baxter, IA. We serve upscale bar and grill food along with pizzas and weekly specials *Job Summary* We are seeking a skilled Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The Sous Chef will assist the Head Chef in overseeing the kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food preparation, and maintaining a smooth workflow. *Duties* - Assist in food preparation and cooking - Supervise kitchen staff and coordinate their tasks - Manage inventory control and ordering supplies - Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards - Contribute to menu planning and development - Oversee banquet and fine dining service - Support the Head Chef in kitchen management and restaurant operations *Qualifications* - Proven experience as a Sous Chef or relevant role - Strong knowledge of kitchen management and food preparation techniques - Experience in inventory control and ordering supplies - Ability to lead and motivate a team - Familiarity with dietary department operations is a plus - Excellent communication and organizational skills - Culinary degree or certification is preferred Join our team as a Sous Chef to showcase your culinary expertise, lead a dynamic kitchen team, and contribute to creating exceptional dining experiences for our guests.
