Sr. Backend Developer

Sr. Backend DeveloperAn employer is looking to hire a Sr. Backend Developer for a fully remote opportunity. This role will be working with a fast growing start up that just passed their Series B funding. The role will be to help guide a team through migrating off a legacy AWS Lambda/Serverless Framework + Hasura GraphQL monolith onto a new NestJS service, while continuing to operate and harden the existing system in production. You will be designing and ship backend features across both the legacy Hasura/Postgres system and the new NestJS/Drizzle Forge service - comfortable operating in a codebase mid-migration, not just a green-field one. You will also own performance and reliability for high-traffic, data-intensive paths (leaderboards, matchup state, wallet/transaction ledgers) - including diagnosing and fixing things like N 1 query regressions, Postgres connection pool saturation, and cache invalidation issues under real production load.
