As an energy-saving solutions provider with core competencies in power electronics and automation, Delta's business categories include Power Electronics, Mobility, Automation, and Infrastructure.About the role:Support microgrid design and validation activities through power system studies, including load flow, short-circuit, and dynamic/transient analysis using tools such as PSCAD. Assist in modeling DER assets (BESS, PV, generators), validating control strategies, and ensuring compliance with grid codes and utility interconnection requirements. Contribute to technical reports, data analysis, and coordination with controls, protection, and integration teams for utility-scale and behind-the-meter applicationsKey responsibilities:Develop and validate power system models for microgrid assets (BESS, PV, generators, loads) Perform load flow, short-circuit, and dynamic/transient stability studies Support grid interconnection studies and compliance with utility/grid codesMinimum Qualifications:Fundamental knowledge of power systems (load flow, fault analysis, stability concepts) Familiarity with at least one simulation tool PSCAD Basic understanding of DER technologies (BESS, solar PV, generators) Understanding of per-unit system, transmission/distribution modeling, and protection basicsCurrently enrolled in a Master program with a degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or other related fieldsPreferred Qualifications:Hands-on experience with PSCAD Exposure to EMT and RMS modeling of inverter-based resources (BESS, PV, wind) Understanding of microgrid control layers (EMS, SCADA, PPC, inverter controls) Familiarity with grid-support functions (Volt/VAR, frequency response, droop control)PhD in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or other related fields preferred
