We also offer specialized services like development and manufacture of Highly Potent APIs and Antibody Drug Conjugation.Our capability as an integrated service provider & experience with various technologies enables us to serve Innovator and Generic companies worldwide.For more details, please visit : www.piramalpharmasolutions.comJob TitleSr. Director, Global ProposalsJob DescriptionPosition SummaryAs the Sr Director, Global Proposals at Piramal Pharma Solutions, you will lead a high-performing, geographically dispersed team responsible for developing technically robust, strategically aligned, and commercially compelling proposals across a network of 15 manufacturing sites.Reporting to the Sr. VP of Commercial Operations, you will set the vision and strategy for the proposal function, ensuring best-in-class standards, continuous improvement, and alignment with global business objectives including pricing strategies. This role requires a dynamic leader with deep technical expertise, strategic acumen, and a proven ability to inspire and manage a diverse team across multiple regions.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic LeadershipDefine and execute the global strategy for proposal development, ensuring alignment with Piramal Pharma Solutions’ commercial and operational goals.Serve as a thought leader, identifying market trends and evolving client needs to proactively shape proposal content and positioning.Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and technical excellence within the proposal team.Team Management & DevelopmentLead, mentor, and develop a global team of proposal professionals, ensuring high engagement, performance, and professional growth.Establish clear goals, performance metrics, and development plans for direct reports across multiple geographies.Promote collaboration, knowledge sharing, and best practice adoption across the global team.Technical & Strategic Proposal DevelopmentOversee the analysis of RFPs and client requirements, ensuring proposals reflect the latest scientific, engineering, and operational capabilities.Guide the integration of complex technical data, regulatory requirements, and business intelligence into proposal documents.Ensure proposals are innovative, compliant, and differentiated in the marketplace.Integral member of high-level bid defense strategy callsCross-Functional CollaborationPartner with Business Development, Technical, Finance, Manufacturing, and Legal teams to define project scope, budgets, and timelines.Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external clients throughout the proposal lifecycle.Represent the proposal function in global leadership forums and client meetings specifically bid defense and proposal’s technical calls.Quality Assurance & ComplianceEnsure all proposals adhere to regulatory standards (FDA, EPA, OSHA) and internal quality benchmarks for accuracy, consistency, and clarity.Oversee the maintenance of proposal databases, Salesforce records, and pricing documentation.Champion best practices in proposal writing, leveraging templates, standards, and technology to drive efficiency and quality.Continuous Improvement & Change ManagementLead initiatives to enhance proposal processes, tools, and team capabilities.Monitor and respond to trends in the business pipeline, ensuring the team is agile and responsive to changing business needs.Participate in client visits and technical presentations, showcasing organizational capabilities and building client trust.Key InteractionsInternal: Site Leadership and Technical Teams, Business Development, Science Collective, Global FunctionsExternal: Customers, PartnersQualificationsAdvanced degree in a technical discipline (Chemistry, Biology, Engineering, or related field) required; MBA or equivalent business qualification strongly preferred.Minimum 8–10 years’ experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing or related industry, with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing global teams.Demonstrated expertise in technical writing, project management, and strategic business development.Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Smartsheet) and Salesforce (specifically ability to manage dashboards, create reports and analyze team metrics).Deep understanding of regulatory compliance and quality assurance in a pharmaceutical environment.Leadership CompetenciesStrategic Vision: Ability to set and communicate a compelling vision for the global proposal function.Technical Acumen: Deep understanding of scientific and engineering concepts relevant to pharmaceutical development and manufacturing across both drug substance and drug product.People Leadership: Proven ability to inspire, develop, and manage high-performing, diverse teams across geographies.Change Management: Skilled in leading teams through transformation and continuous improvement.Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.Relationship Building: Strong ability to build trust and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.Results Orientation: Track record of delivering high-quality proposals under tight deadlines and complex requirements.Work Environment & ConditionsFlexible work environment with regular presence required at manufacturing sites; global travel as needed for team leadership and client engagement.Office and laboratory settings with potential exposure to hazardous chemicals; appropriate personal protective equipment required.
