Data Engineer Intern

MANTECH seeks a Data Engineer Intern to support the Combat Analytics Center (CAC) through the conduct of Data Engineering functions, including system development and dashboarding. This internship will be on-site in support of our Combat Analytics Center facility in Stafford, VA. This position requires a U.S. Citizen with an active US Security Clearance or eligibility to obtain a US Security Clearance.Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited ToReceive weekly tasking in support of data engineering tasks related to the CACSupporting the facility director in building a data storage and analytics systemEnsure products/deliverables meet quality standards and compliance with CAC policies Work independently or in a collaborative environment on tasks On-site workshop meetings; with the potential for a limited number of off-site workshop meetings Required QualificationsCurrent full-time student pursuing a BS/MS in Computer Science or a related field with a graduation date no later than May 2027Professional or project experience in Data Engineering 2 years of strong academic experience with cloud-based systems building, MS automation and Python or SQL2 years of strong academic experience connecting APIs with data repository systemsExcellent communication skills and evidence of completion of professional products and deliverablesInterest in government contracting workClearance RequirementsU.S. Citizen with an active US Security Clearance or eligible to obtain a US Security Clearance. Physical RequirementsMust be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
