Program Manager - Manufacturing Our client is a leading Manufacturing company in the Midwest and is seeking an experienced Program Manager. Summary: Manage and oversee manufacturing projects related to steel stamping and assemblies. The role involves planning, coordinating, and executing projects to ensure they meet specifications, quality standards, and deadlines. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Lead and control all Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) functions. Oversee customer service activities to ensure high levels of satisfaction. Manage Program Management responsibilities related to new business opportunities. Collaborate with external die and fixture design vendors to implement improvements or modifications to new or existing tooling as necessary. Verify that all design features are as intended and ensure that all authorized design changes are accomplished and properly documented. Maintain appropriate technical training and stay current with developments in the relevant field of expertise. Demonstrate proficiency in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), welding symbols/specifications, and surface finish requirements. Actively participate as a member of the APQP and Continuous Improvement Teams, contributing to process enhancements and efficiency improvements. The Program Manager receives his/her authority from the President. Education and/or Experience: Bachelor s degree in engineering or a related field. Proven experience in manufacturing, particularly with steel stamping and assemblies. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Excellent communication and project management abilities. Proficiency in project management software and tools. Judgment and Decision Making: Seeks guidance as necessary for performance of duties. Demonstrates good judgment in investigating problems. Respects confidentiality of company, customer, and personal information. Maintains a positive attitude and cooperative working relationship with all Managers and employees, as well as with any people from customers organization. Consistently demonstrates the ability to tactfully handle difficult situations.
