Sr. Software Engineer - Oracle PL/SQL

F&G is looking to hire for a Sr. Software EngineerThe Sr Software Engineer position will code, test, and document software solutions and perform tests to validate the code. This role will write more progressively complex code and work to independently solve problems and fix technical issues. This role will be in lead capacity with other developers through required feature updates, code management, and requirement implementation.Duties & ResponsibilitiesDesign, code, test, and document software solutions that are high performing and intuitive, adhering to F&G’s software development methodologies, frameworks, standards, and security requirementsPerform unit, regression, security, and load tests to validate the readiness of internally and externally developed code for production as requiredDesign and develop complex integrations.Perform impact analysis for interface/system changes affecting the applications environmentDevelop estimates for project and maintenance workDesign integrations for custom or 3rd-party solutionsAssist with the design of architecture and solutionsTranslate undefined business problems and defined business objectives and goals into functional solutionsDesign with assistance within architectural standardsLead technical aspects of one or more applications within the functionTechnical ownership of one or more business facing technologies to deliver business outcomesInteract with clients and stakeholdersSupport and interact with various IT teams and LOBs on integration effortsExperience & Education RequirementsBachelor's degree (preferred emphasis in Computer Science or MIS) or equivalent combination of education and experience 4-7 years of hands-on technical experience in designing and building applications and interfacesExperience with various SDLC methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.)Significant experience working with various integration toolsSignificant experience working with cloud Expert understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC)Azure or AWS cloud development tools ( functions, Lambdas)Preferred RequirementsExperience supporting integrationsExperience with insurance industryAccord XMLRest APIKnowledge, Skills & AbilitiesSelf-starter with a high energy level and willingness to take on responsibilityProven verbal, written communication, and conflict resolution skillsExcellent ability to think analytically and solve problemsAbility to work in a dynamic environmentAbility to create technical documentationAbility to develop good relationships with vendors and their technical resourcesAbility to create strong, collaborative relationships with business partnersAbility to lead and mentor othersAbility to maintain a technical vision and roadmapAbility to act as a project lead within an initiative including task identification, design, testing, implementation, tracking, reporting, and status updates to managementOther RequirementsPerform other functions, duties and projects as assignedRegular and punctual attendanceSome travel may be required (less than 10%)Additional InformationWork EnvironmentsF&G believes in an employee-centric flexible environment, which is why we offer the ability for in-office, hybrid and remote work arrangements.
