Construction Superintendent

Founded in 1984, BEAR Construction Company is a family-owned General Contracting and Construction Management firm based in Chicagoland, delivering projects across Illinois and Wisconsin.We’re seeking a Construction Superintendent to oversee project teams and trade employees, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, and on budget. This role requires strong leadership, organization, and communication skills in a fast-paced environment.Key Responsibilities:Develop schedules, phasing, and project lookaheadsMonitor progress, budgets, and material/equipment needsSupervise field staff and coordinate subcontractorsEnsure job site safety, quality, and complianceCommunicate project updates and resolve on-site issuesQualifications:Previous Superintendent experience or similar field roleUnion or non-union eligible; OSHA 30 requiredConstruction Management or Engineering education preferredProficient with MS Office and construction softwareStrong leadership and organizational skillsBEAR Construction is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
